Digi-Care Standard+ Support expands the Telephone Support coverage from 5 day/9
hour coverage to 7 day/24* (currently 5X9 hour coverage) hour coverage for a
period of 1 year.
Digi-Care Standard+ Support is designed for customers who require 24-hour*
access to our Support Team of professionals to optimize network performance and
uptime. Digi-Care Standard+ provides an intermediate level of support between
Standard Support (software updates and 5 day/9 hour phone support) and Premium
Support (24 hour plus Advanced Hardware Replacement).
Digi-Care Standard+ Support Contracts begin from the date of product shipment
from Foundry Networks, Inc. The Support Contract Anniversary date (tracked by
model and serial numbers) will therefore be 12 months after date of purchase.
Support Contracts will be automatically renewed annually unless cancelled in
writing at least 30 days prior to the Contract Anniversary date. An invoice for
this annual service will be sent 60 days prior to the expiration date. Please
refer to the current Official Price List for Support Contract Annual fees.
Digi-Care Standard+ Support Contracts must be purchased within the first 30 days
of ownership. If the Customer owns multiple Foundry Hardware products, all
systems must be covered by a Digi-Care Standard, Standard+ or Premium Contract.
This permits proper coverage for system software updates for all systems owned
by the customer. Failure to do so will result in access to the Web Support Area
being disabled.
Contracts purchased after the initial 30-day period will require all systems to
be subject to an Out of Warranty Repair Service charge to determine eligibility
for Support Contracts. This is to verify that the Hardware and Software are up
to date, before a Service Contract can be established for the systems. Hardware
with out-of-date system software will require a one-time charge for the
applicable number of SU/RSU/SCU/RCU/SLBU Update packages to bring the system up
to the current major release of system software.
