BSNL Bridge Configuration

Connect the router to the computer via Lan (Ethernet).

You can configure GLB-502T for BSNL broadband by doing the following steps:-

Step 1 : Log into the web configuration of the router by typing the IP address http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of Internet Explorer.

A prompt for user name and password should appear. Type 'admin' as username and password both and click on login. You should see the Home page as shown below.


Step 2 : Click on setup and then New Connection tab. Configure the modem as per the values given below:

1. Give any name is the 'Name' option.
2. Select Type as Bridge.

3. VPI = 0
    VCI = 35

Rest all would be default settings. Click on Apply and OK.

 


Step 3 : To save settings properly on the router, click on 'Tools' and 'System Commands' and then click on 'Save All'. Once settings are saved we need to reboot router so click on 'Restart' tab just below to 'Save All' tab and let the router reboot.
 


Step 4 : Create a dialer connection on the computer.

Note : You can create a PPPoE dialer only on Windows XP. In case you are using Windows 98/2000, you need to install PPPoE dialer software. Contact D-Link Technical Assistance Center for the same.

1. Click start > run, type ncpa.cpl and press enter or click ok.

2. The network connections window would appear. Click on 'create a new connection'.

3. The connection wizard would appear. Click next.

4. Select 'connect to the internet' and click next.

5. Select 'setup my connection manually' and click next.

6. Select 'connect using a broadband connection that requires username and password' and click next.

7. Enter the ISP name and click next.

8. Enter the username (as given by ISP) and password (as given by ISP) and click next.

9. Click finish to complete the wizard.

10. Click on connect to dial the connection.

When connected successfully, you would get a connection icon in the system tray. Now you should be able to access internet.
